...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON CDT /1 PM EDT/ SATURDAY TO 7 PM
CDT /8 PM EDT/ TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values between 100 to 108 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From noon CDT /1 PM EDT/ Saturday to 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will cause heat impacts to be greater than
normal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

SESSER, Ill. (WSIL) -- A food giveaway is taking place in Sesser on Monday morning.聽

This is through the St. Louis Food Bank, the University of Illinois Extension and 4-H Club. This event will take place at the Sesser Memorial Park starting at 10:30 a.m. on March 3, at 301 South Park Street in Sesser.

This event is described as a Food Access Resource Market drive through food giveaway.

Everyone is welcome to come by and volunteers are also needed.
