SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) states they are planning some bridge maintenance in Mississippi County soon, with some expected impact to traffic.
I-57 will be reduced to one lane for the bridge maintenance with a 14-foot width restriction as crews will be on scene in the area from the 14.2 mile marker to the 11.2 mile marker near Charleston.
The work will be from Monday, February 5, through March 1, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
MoDOT said they will mark the work zone with signs and motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling through the area.
