New strip mall breaks ground in Marion

MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- A new strip mall project broke ground on Tuesday, promising to give the local community a boost of more business opportunities.

Srinivas Gundala, a well-known general contractor, announced the development during a ceremony, highlighting the project's potential impact.

“This project is about more than just new construction � it’s about creating a vibrant hub where businesses can thrive and families can gather,� Gundala said.

The strip mall will feature a mix of dining, retail and service businesses. One of the highly anticipated tenants is Casa Familia, a popular Mexican restaurant, generating excitement among residents.

“We are especially excited to welcome Casa Familia as one of our anchor tenants, bringing a beloved dining experience to this area,� Gundala said.

The strip mall's modern design will focus on convenience and community gathering, with ample parking available. Gundala has been recognized for more than 15 years for quality construction and innovative design.

The project aims to create a space where local businesses can flourish and families can enjoy a welcoming environment.
