week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 21.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.6 feet Monday,

Pierce Farm Fall Fest to Help Two Local Organizations

HERRIN, Ill. -- A local business is planning an event to help out two local organizations.

is holding their Fall Fest event coming up on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 14644 Bandyville Road in Herrin.

The event will feature a vendor fair, along with animals with and Fenton Farms. There will also be face painting on hand as well.

The Community of Faith BBQ will be at the event serving their famous BBQ. Proceeds made will go to their scholarship program.

There is free admission to the event, however, you are asked to bring in a canned food donation which will be donated to the Herrin House of Hope.
