...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

.The Big Muddy River continues to rise due to heavy rain last week
and over the weekend. The river will crest on Thursday before
starting a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

- At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.7
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Crash involving semi shuts down traffic on I-24

PADUCAH, KY (WSIL) -- Westbound lanes of Interstate 24 are shutdown over a four mile stretch due a crash involving three vehicles.

According to Paducah Police, the crash involves a semi and two other vehicles. It happened around 7 p.m.

Officers expect the lanes to be shut down until 9 p.m between exits three and seven.

Drivers encouraged to self-detour at Exit 11.
