19-year-old faces several felony charges after police serve warrant in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- One person faces several felony charges after police serve a warrant in Carbondale.

Detectives with the Carbondale Police Department continued to investigate incidents involving weapons throughout the city.

One of these investigations led them to a home in the 500-block of South Graham Street and to a home in the 300-block of South Oakland Avenue on Tuesday morning where they served warrants.

Members with the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System Special Response Team assisted Carbondale police officers and detectives with serving the warrants.

Alaye T. Graham, 19 of Carbondale was taken into custody when authorities were on South Graham Street.

Graham was charged with armed violence, possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a fiream and fiream ammunition, possession of a firearm without a FOID Card and manufacture/possession with intent to deliver cannabis.

Graham was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Nobody was taken into custody when authorities responded on Oakland Street.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
