METROPOLIS, Ill. -- A 39-year-old was arrested after police investigate a domestic disturbance report in Massac County last week.
The Metropolis Police Department said their officers were called to investigate a report in regards to a domestic disturbance which happened along I-24 around the 37 mile marker on August 28.
Police said the victim reported an argument with her husband. The husband allegedly punched her in the arm, grabbed her neck and punched and damaged the windshield on the vehicle.
The police department reported Carl L. Allen, 39 of Metropolis, was then later arrested and faces a charge of Domestic Battery.
Allen was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
