PADUCAH, Ky. -- A 43-year-old is in custody after allegedly hitting another person with a hammer.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place on May 12. Deputies went out to the Mercy Health Lourdes for a 61-year-old man who had an injury, believed to be from a hammer.
The sheriff's office started investigating and allege Lynn Day, 43 of Paducah, struck the 61-year-old with a hammer twice during an argument.
Day was interviewed by law enforcement and was then arrested after Day was reported to have some methemphetamine on him.
Day faces charges of Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Day was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
