52-year-old man faces multiple charges after police search home in Christopher

CHRISTOPHER, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 52-year-old man was arrested and faces multiple charges in Christopher.

The Christopher Police Department said their officers and detectives searched a home on E. Washington Street on February 14, at 6:20 a.m. in Christopher.

Police said Ronald Ballheimer, 52 of Christopher, was taken into custody on the following charges...

  • Grooming - Class 4 Felony
  • Sexual Exploitation of a Child - Class A Misdemeanor
  • Unlawful Restraint - Class 4 Felony
  • Battery - Class A Misdemeanor
  • Sexual Conduct or Sexual Conduct with an Animal - Class 3 Felony
  • Methamphetamine Possession - Class 3 Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class 4 Felony
  • Aggravated Battery - Class 3 Felony
  • Possession of Ammunition Without a FOID Card - Class A Misdemeanor

Ballheimer was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police Investigations Division, META Inc. Platforms and the Franklin County State's Attorney's Office assisted the Christopher Police Department in this case.
