SIKESTON, Mo. (WSIL) -- Three people are in custody for a that killed two and injured seven in Sikeston.
The drive-by shooting happened early Sunday morning at a home in the 900 block of Plantation Blvd.
Two women - Kimyata Haynes, 21, and Faquazia Wilson, 20, both of Charleston - were killed. Seven others were injured and received treatment.
Sikeston Department of Public Safety says Antonio Johnson, Jr., 20; Deantrell Beard, 21; and Tyshonne Williams, 20, all of Sikeston, have been arrested for the shooting.
"Investigators disclosed that this was an ongoing feud involving illegal narcotic sales and gang activity. It should be noted that although the party was held at this home, we have no reason to believe the homeowner had any involvement with the illegal activities," stated a release from the department Friday.
Johnson, Beard and Williams are charged with two counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of first-degree assault, nine counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
They are being held at the Mississippi County Jail.
