BENTON (WSIL)-- Charles Wiggs, owner of Wiggs Bike Shop in Benton, says he was shocked after discovering how one of his bicycles was stolen from his shop.
Wiggs tells News 3 the bike was taken in broad daylight, while he was inside the store.
Surveillance video shows a woman browsing the area. She spots a GT bike, picks it up, and walks out with it.
Wiggs believes her plan was calculated, because she asked for his help a few minutes prior to the theft.
"She was in here looking at a GT bicycle, and she didn't look like she was positive that that's the one she wanted. So I went out and showed her one that was in the garage," explained Wiggs.
Wiggs says the suspect wasn't alone; she had a man with her.
"She told him to see what he thought."
Wiggs says the stolen bike cost more than $300.
He says the suspect also stole other items inside the store. He just wants those items returned.
