SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WREX) � Mike Madigan's former Chief of Staff has been indicted for lying to a grand jury about the ComEd bribery scandal.
Tim Mapes is accused of of attempting to obstruct justice by lying under oath in 2019.
Mapes and Madigan worked together for a number of years before Mapes resigned as Chief of Staff in 2018.
Prior to his resignation, MAPES also served as Chief Clerk of the Illinois House of Representatives and as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Illinois.
