Herrin police still investigating shots fired at park

HERRIN (WSIL) -- The Herrin Police Department is still investigating reports of shots fired Tuesday night.

It happened around 6:35 p.m. at Herrin City Park.

Police say shots were fired by unknown suspect(s). Officers located two firearms and shell casings.

RELATED:

No injuries were reported, but the shots left many people shaken.

Police have identified some people of interest related to the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (618) 942-4132.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
