Jefferson County man arrested for sexual assault of a teenager

INA (WSIL) -- Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a man for sexual assault.

The Sheriff's Office says Jerry D. McKay, 66 of Ina, was arrested at his home in rural Ina on a warrant charging him with 2 counts of Predatory Sexual Assault.

An investigation began in September 2020 after a complaint involving a teenage victim.

McKay was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail with a bond set on the warrant at $100,000 (10%). He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
