HAZEL, Ky. (WSIL) -- A 41-year-old man faces multiple charges in relation to an assault investigation. A woman was also arrested at the scene when authorities said they were trying to take the man in custody.
The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report about a physical assault at a home in Hazel on December 20.
The sheriff's office said residents there told them a man named Rick White forced his way into their home and assaulted the people inside.
Authorities said White criminally trespassed on the property at a previous time as well.
White left the home before law enforcement got to the scene and refused to cooperate with the investigation, the sheriff's office reported. Shortly later, an arrest warrant was then issued for White.
The sheriff's office said their deputies believed White was at an apartment on Diuguid Drive on December 25. When they tried to make contact with White, the sheriff's office said neither White, nor Kimberly Puckett, would answer the door.
White was later found hiding in the apartment complex and resisted arrest, authorities stated. He was then taken into custody.
