MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man was arrested and faces multiple charges after deputies responded to a crash south of Marion on Sunday morning.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said their deputies responded at 1:42 a.m. on February 9, to a rollover crash in the 5500-block of South Market Road.

The sheriff's office said a 2025 pickup truck ran off the road, hit an embankment, went airborne, rolled over multiple times and landed on a property in front of a home.

The sheriff's office said there was a strong odor of alcohol from the vehicle and driver. Additionally, the sheriff's office said a witness told them the people which were in the truck tossed beer bottles out before law enforcement got there.

Beer bottles were located both inside the truck and in the yard immediately surrounding the crash scene, law enforcement stated.

Members with the Lake of Egypt Fire Department also responded to the scene, however, authorities said those who were inside the truck declined medical treatment.
