PERRY CO., Ill. (WSIL) -- A man seen in a 2018 video stomping a fawn has pleaded guilty to a felony animal torture charge.
Jordan Anheuser, 20, took the plea during a court appearance Thursday.
According to Perry County Assistant State's Attorney Martin Beltz, a misdemeanor cruelty to animal charge was dropped in exchange for the plea.
Judge James Campanella sentenced Anheuser to 180 days in the Perry County Jail. With time served and day-for-day credit, Beltz says Anheuser will serve 82 days.
Anheuser will then be on probation for 30 months. He'll also pay a series of fines and fees including $1,000 to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
