Man wanted on rape, sodomy charges, arrested in Paducah, police say

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- A man wanted on multiple charges, including rape and sodomy, was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon after police said they tracked down his vehicle using their camera system.

The Paducah Police Department said Justin Simpson, 39 of Paducah, was arrested on Tuesday using their Flock Safety Camera system in relation to an active warrant out of Kenton County.

Police said one of their detectives found out Simpson had an active warrant and identified Simpson's vehicle and its registration.

Simpson's vehicle was tracked to the 700-block of Kentucky Avenue where police said they pulled over the vehicle and took him in custody.

Simpson was then taken to the McCracken County Jail on the Kenton County warrant. Police said Simpson was wanted for charges of Incest, Rape 1st Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st Degree and Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
