CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A woman was taken to jail after not reporting to jail as ordered by the court.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said Tonya Dunning was sentenced to five days in the Williamson County Jail to begin on January 15, at 10 a.m. This was ordered by the court during a court hearing on December 19, 2024.
At 10:15 a.m., on January 15, the sheriff's office started Dunning failed to report to jail. Deputies then started looking for Dunning throughout the day.Â
Later that night, at 9:56 p.m., the sheriff's office said Dunning was pulled over after she was spotted in the area of Highway 13 and Spillway Road.
Dunning was then cited for an escape charge and expired driver's license.Â
She was then taken to the Williamson County Jail.
