Paducah man faces drug and traffic charges after traffic stop

MURRAY, Ky. (WSIL) -- A traffic stop in Murray led to an arrest of a man in the early hours on June 19.

The Murray Police Department said one of their officers witnessed a vehicle crossing the center line multiple times at around 2:05 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said the driver threw some suspected drug paraphernalia out of the window after the officer activated his emergency lights. Authorities stated the suspect was identified as Mark Martin, 52 of Paducah.

Additional officers arrived to assist with the traffic stop and investigation.

Martin was arrested and charged with several offenses, which include the following...

  • Improper Lane Usage
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
  • Possession of Controlled Substances, 1st Degree (Meth)
  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Substances
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Failure to Appear (Arrest Warrant out of McCracken County)
  • Multiple other traffic and vehicle related offenses
