MARION, Ill. -- A southern Illinois man faces seven charges after a multi-city investigation, resulting in police seizing drugs and guns in a home.
The Marion Police Department said on Tuesday their narcotics unit finished up a lengthy investigation which started in Marion and ending with an arrest of a man in Herrin.
Police said they executed a search warrant at a home in the 400-block of 21st Street in Herrin.
Tyrone Hymon was arrested and charged with several offenses, which are delivery of a controlled substance near a protected place, possession of 15-100 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver, possession 15-100 grams of MDMA with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition and possession of a stolen firearm (Jackson County).
Assisting in the investigation is the Herrin Police Department and Williamson County State's Attorney Ted Hampson.
