Two arrested in South Carolina in connection to stolen U-Haul from western Kentucky, police say

HICKMAN, Ky. (WSIL) -- Two people were arrested after they were accused of stealing a U-Haul truck from western Kentucky.

The Hickman Police Department said on April 14, they received a report of a stolen U-Haul van from Bypass Rentals.

After investigating, police said Simon Bowman and Cynthia Ellison leased the vehicle for one day and didn't return it. Authorities then said the U-Haul was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as stolen.

Hickman police said Fulton County Dispatch received confirmation through the NCIC the vehicle was found in South Carolina by the Myrtle Beach Police Department and the two suspects were arrested.

Police said the warrants for Bowman and Ellison were issued out of Fulton County on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property Received - Auto.聽
