WEST FRANKFORT (WSIL) -- West Frankfort Police are still looking for answers after a fight lead to shots fired overnight.
West Frankfort Chief John Prudent says officers were called around midnight Thursday morning for a fight in the parking lot of Huck’s Convenience Store.
Officer’s arrived at Huck’s to discover that all parties involved had fled the scene. An investigation into the incident revealed that at least 8 people were involved and multiple gunshots were fired.Â
At this time West Frankfort Police do not believe anyone was struck by the gunfire.Â
The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services was requested to process the scene for evidence.Â
This investigation is ongoing.
