PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) --A woman was arrested and faces charges after law enforcement says they found her passed out and intoxicated in a vehicle with a child in the car.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said on December 11, at 2:13 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2900-block of Geibe Road.
The report the sheriff's office said they received was about a vehicle which was in a field, with a female passed out behind the wheel and a child in the backseat.
Once on scene, a deputy saw the woman which appeared to be asleep behind the wheel and a 9-month-old in a car seat, the sheriff's office said.
The woman was later identified as Candyce Taylor, 33 of Paducah. The sheriff's office said Taylor was under the influence at the time.
Taylor was arrested and then taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail where she was cited for charges of Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol � 2nd offense, Wanton endangerment 1st degree and Failure to notify address change to department of transportation.
The sheriff's office also stated the child was assessed by medical staff and was reported to be not injured and released to the family.
