Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is currently cresting near 28.1 feet. At
Murphysboro, the river has crested and started a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Family Fall Festival returning to The Landings

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- The Landings at Reed Station Crossing will once again hold their Family Fall Festival. The event is not only fun, but helps to support a good cause.Ìý

Organizers promise entertainment for all ages including an obstacle course, pumpkin painting, food trucks, and booths from local vendors.

Admission is free, and all proceeds collected by The Landings will be donated to the .

“We are committed to making a positive impact not only for our residents but for the entire Carbondale community,â€� said Jody Nelson, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Landings.Ìý

The event is taking place September 21st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.Ìý
