Friday brings a small rain chance and more warm temperatures

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It has been another dry and hot September day. The above average temperatures will stick around for a few more days, before a cool down arrives.

An isolated storm chance is possible Friday morning. A few storms will attempt to work their way in from the northwest, but it will not be a washout. Otherwise, it'll be another hot and mostly dry day. High temperatures will climb back above average, near 90 degrees.

A cold front will bring some relief from the heat and better rain chances by the end of the weekend.
