(WSIL) -- Due to the pandemic many families will be connecting virtually, but have you taken time to ?
Local cyber security expert Mark Rogers, from John A. Logan College, says to avoid hackers: Write a list of who will join, do not host open meetings, and do not share links or passwords.
He also says do a test-run the night before.
"If you have elderly people or people who aren't tech savy, this can run into a problem also on this one, so you might have to walk them through that one. But by default now, when you create a meeting, it has a meeting ID number," he said.
Another tip is to make sure your device is up to date to avoid computer viruses.
