.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

Business in southern Illinois closes after 100 years

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. -- A southern Illinois business is closing their doors after being open for roughly 100 years.

The Heights Market & Deli has been in West Frankfort for roughly 100 years. It started in 1924.

The business is located along E. Main Street and offers a variety of items.

The business stated on their Facebook page that it's time to close for good.

Well, it is time to close Height's Market for good. Thank you everyone for your support, friendship, and loyalty. We have enjoyed these past 10 years, but it is time for us to move on to our next phase in life. More family time, down time, and fun time!!!
