MARION, Ill. -- The city of Marion has been honored as one of the top 24 Economic Development Organizations for Innovation.
The city posted on their Facebook page they were recognized by Business Facilities on June 4, in the Small Economic Development Organizations (EDO) category for cities with under 100,000 in population.
"These awards are given to projects that foster capital investment, create jobs, and enhance the quality of life within their community," the city of Marion stated.
The Small EDO features Marion in a publication and referenced the STAR Bond Project #1, which represents a significant milestone in economic development for the region.
