Marion woman in jail after deputies find drugs and materials for a growing operation in home

MARION, Ill. -- One woman is in jail after deputies found drugs and a grow operation at a home in Marion.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said deputies executed a search warrant at a home at 1302 Nicklaus Lane just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities found methamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, materials used in a grow operation, plants, and other drug related material there at the home.

“The residents who live in this area are tired of the constant traffic and drug related activity," Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich said.

Authorities took Theresa A. Wood in custody and transported her to the Williamson County Jail.

There sheriff's office said more charges are expected and this is still an ongoing investigation.
