MARION, Ill (WSIL) -- With heavy rains moving through the area, events, festivities, and others may be affected.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, Mtn Dew Park is hosting Stone Temple Pilots with special guest Soul Asylum. Stone Temple Pilots debuted in 1992 and sold 70 million albums throughout the career of the band.
With weather hitting the area, many might wonder if there will be any changes to the concert.
We talked to Ralph Santana, the General Manager for the Thrillbillies. He says, "We do have a plan in place. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much but the plan is to go as scheduled right now. We don't see it being a huge issue. There's no lightning in the area and no wind, so, it's just a light rain supposedly, but, we really do not have a back up plan to go to so we are just going to go with the plan we got in scheduled and we talked to everybody so it looks good."
The concert is scheduled for September 13, at 7 p.m. at Mt. Dew Park in Marion.
