...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Multi-vehicle crash in Saline County, motorists urged to detour around

Route 45 dusty conditions

ELDORADO, Ill. (WSIL) -- UPDATE: April 2, 4:23 p.m., -- Illinois State Police said heavy winds created blackout conditions across a section of Route 45 north of Muddy in Saline County.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

ORIGINAL: Authorities are working a traffic crash involving multiple vehicles in Saline County on Wednesday afternoon.

The Harrisburg Police Department said they are assisting the Saline County Sheriff's Department at the crash scene as of 3:27 p.m.

This happened along Route 45 between Harrisburg and Eldorado and both northbound and southbound lanes are shut down.

Motorists are urged to take an alternative route around the scene at this time.

A video from one motorists in this area shows the roadway with dusty and windy conditions near the time of this incident.
