JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. -- One person was taken to the hospital after a concrete truck crashed.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said it happened at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday when they went out to US Highway 51 and Airport Road in the rural part of Murphysboro for a concrete truck which overturned.
Authorities investigated and said a white 2007 International was going north on Highway 51 and was turning left onto Airport Road when it rolled onto it's side and into a ditch.
The sheriff's office said the vehicle was operated by Beeleman Ready Mix of Carbondale.
The driver was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting in the call was the Jackson County Ambulance Service, DeSoto Police Department and the Carbondale Township Fire Department.
The road was shut down for about two hours.
