RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- A local electric company sent crews out to a utility pole on fire on Thursday evening after some raccoons started a fire to it.
Video from the Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association shows where a utility pole was on fire and stated some raccoons were able to cause one of the capacitors to ground, which then started the fire.

After a quick response from an electric crew, they were able to make repairs and keep the fire from spreading and causing anymore damage.
The electric company described the video, showing Lineman Matt McElroy opening up the feet to each of the capacitors which then allowed the fire to go out.
