Counties.
.Heavy rainfall has ended across the area. The Big Muddy River is
continuing to rise and crests are expected over the next week.
For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...Major
flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, Many surrounding homes begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Sunday was 25.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.4
feet Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Illinois 12th District Representative Mike Bost issued a statement in regards to his recent Telephone Town Hall event.
Bost informed encouraged people to sign up for the Telephone Town Hall meeting scheduled for the evening on February 24. People were able to go to his website and sign up using a form he provided.
Bost posted on his Facebook page he was "looking forward to hearing from everyone about the important issues facing our country."
During Bost's Telephone Town Hall meeting, many community members complained to News 3 they never received a phone call and were angry about not getting an opportunity to speak with Bost.

"I signed up for the Bost town hall last week, planned questions, and waited for the 6:00 call. No call came. Judging by the comments on his Facebook page, very many constituents were left out." - Viewer submitted
