Senate floor holds moment of silence for 8-year-old boy who passed away in southern Illinois

ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- Senator Dale Fowler spoke on the Senate Floor on Wednesday and wore blue for 8-year-old Graham Joseph Hosman of Eldorado.

Senator Dale Fowler spoke on the Senate Floor on Wednesday and wore blue for 8-year-old Graham Joseph Hosman of Eldorado.

Fowler addressed the room and spoke about Graham's life and what he liked and wanted to be when he grew up.

He then asked the room for a moment of silence for Graham.

Graham passed away on Friday after a long battle with cancer.

"We'll forever remember Graham for his determination, perseverance, competitive spirit, keen mind, and his desire to please his loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hosman family and Graham's friends," Fowler said.
