...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values 100 to 107 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Some Residents Could See Water Outage During Water Main Replacement in Marion

MARION, Ill. -- City crews in Marion are working to repair and relocate a water main on Tuesday.

The City of Marion stated the work will be done on September 10 and certain residents will see a temporary water outage throughout the day. Those address are as follows...

  • 700-800 Block of Dogwood Ln
  • 1500-1700 Block of W. Maplewood Ln
  • 1701 W. Copeland St
  • 701 S. Carbon St
  • 607 S. Carbon St
  • 1700 Redbud Ln

A boil water order will also be issued once the water is restored for these addresses and all parties have been notified.
