CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will be holding a talk with Illinois State Senate President Don Harmon, and you're welcome to join the conversation.
The meeting will take place through zoom Monday, March 8th at 11 AM.
The Democrat, who represents the state's 39th district, will discuss his role in politics. Harmon will also touch on role as Senate President and what lawmakers hope to accomplish this year.
He was elected into the Illinois Senate in 2002 and became Illinois Senate president in January of 2020.
Throughout his career, Harmon has advocated for early childhood education, ethics reform, environmental protections, expanded voter access and civil rights.
