MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) -- Diners in Kentucky got to enjoy dinner inside a restaurant tonight after the governor's executive order expired.
The executive order put into place by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear expired Sunday. It went into effect November 20. The order prohibited people from dining indoors and limited places like gyms and fitness centers to 33% capacity among other restrictions.
Jan Baldridge and her family dined out at Fowlers K&N Root Beer Drive-In for a birthday celebration. They said they are happy the restrictions have ended.
"Oh, we were excited, we made these plans like a week or two ago. And I mean family, its just time to get together, we enjoyed it and we were here at 4 o'clock today," said Baldridge.
The first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine arrived at three Kentucky hospitals in Louisville, Lexington and Bowling Green.
Healthcare workers there have already begun getting their vaccines.
