Kentucky’s public riverports receive more funding

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) � This is the third round of funding for the six projects at five of Kentucky's riverfront ports. It totals more than 1.5 million dollars.

The aim is to increase economic activity efficiency and connectivity for Kentucky industries.

The funding comes from a grant program established by the 2024 General Assembly and approved by Governor Andy Beshear.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is responsible for administering the funds.
