MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- One person is dead and another taken to a hospital after a crash in McCracken County on Friday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 9700-block of Blandville Road at 6 a.m. on May 17. One of the vehicles was reportedly overturned.
Authorities started investigating and said a 33-year-old was going east on Blandville Road in a 2007 Dodge Caravan.
At this time, a 59-year-old was going west on Blandville Road in a 2022 Ram 2500.
The two vehicles then reportedly crashed head on with each other, causing the Ram to overturn.
The sheriff's office said the rain and wet roadway conditions are believed to be a factor in the crash.
The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County coroner. He was identified as Luccas McMahon of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
The 59-year-old was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Assisting at the scene was the Concord Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, McCracken County DES, McCracken County Coroner’s Office and Harper’s Towing.
"Please keep the McMahon family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," the McCracken County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
