One injured in Paducah shooting, investigation underway

PADUCAH, Ky. -- Police began an investigation into an alleged shooting on Friday. 

Officials received word of shots in the 2700 block of Trimble St. from multiple callers. Members of the department took off toward the scene and passed a dark SUV speeding from the area to Baptist Health Paducah. 

Police diverted to the hospital and discovered a man in treatment for a gunshot wound. That man ended up getting sent out of state for more treatment. 

Officials then managed to get to the scene of the suspected crime, where they discovered shell casings from bullets. 

The police department has opened an investigation that is still ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to call the office at 270-444-8550.
