Authorities locate body of missing man after vehicle found in floodwaters

SYMSONIA, Ky. (WSIL) -- Kentucky State Police said the body of Samuel Wilson has been found. This comes days after police said his vehicle was found and recovered after flooding in the area. 

KSP said his body was located roughly 150 yards away from his vehicle in a wooded area. 

The investigation is still active and an autopsy has been scheduled for February 25.

State police said they don’t suspect any foul play involved.

ORIGINAL STORY 

SYMSONIA, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities are searching for a missing man after his vehicle was found in floodwaters.

The Kentucky State Police said they are looking for Samuel Wilson, 39 of Murray, who is a white male, roughly 5'7" tall, weighing 180 lbs., with brown eyes and brown hair. He is also described as having several tattoos, including birds and hearts on his neck, the Fruit Loops Toucan on his arm and a large W also on his neck.

Police said Wilson was last seen on February 16, by family members. His vehicle was also reported to have been found in some floodwaters near Symsonia in Graves County on February 17. He has not been seen or heard from since.
