Rain causes flooding in western Kentucky, list of high water reports

MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) -- Heavy rain from February 15, is still impacting motorists in western Kentucky.

The area received multiple inches of rainfall which led to flooding over roadways in every western Kentucky county in the WSIL region. Over the past nearly two weeks, the list of flooded roadways has diminished, however, there are still some roads impacted.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the flooding is crossing roadways, which is impacting motorists.

Here are damaged roads impacted by the flooding...

  • Carlisle County â€� KY 1591, closed at the 1.5 MM, sinkhole.
  • Fulton County â€� KY 94/E. Carroll Street is closed near the 12.7 MM, from Kentucky Street to Cumberland Street in the city of Hickman, slide.
  • Hickman County â€� KY 3061, closed from the 0-2.366 MM, slide at cross drain.
  • Marshall County â€� KY 58, closed at the 1.3 MM, pavement undermined due to slide.

Crittenden County

  • KY 1917 is closed with high water between the 1-1.5 MM.

Hickman County

  • KY 123 is closed with high water between the 14-16 MM in the Hailwell Corner area.

Livingston County

  • KY 137 is closed with high water between the 5.3 - 15.2 MM.
