...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

Soldier dies in Fort Campbell aviation incident; another taken to hospital

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (WSIL) -- An aviation incident occurred in the Fort Campbell training area at around 7 p.m. on June 11, involving two servicemembers. This information comes from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Office of Public Affairs.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene after the incident took place.

The public affairs office stated one soldier was confirmed dead, while the other was taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and is stable.

Authorities are withholding the names of those involved for 24 hours after they notify next of kin.

The incident remains under investigation.
