One dead after motorcycle crash in southeast Missouri

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in southeast Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened at 10 p.m. on May 14, along Route B east of Business US 60 in Butler County.

State police said a 46-year-old man from Williamsville, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle going west when the vehicle ran off the road and crashed. A stop sign was also reported damaged.

Authorities said the man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Deputy Coroner. 

This is the 22nd death related to a traffic crash in the southeast Missouri MSHP Troop E area for 2025.
