POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- State police are investigating a deadly shooting incident involving an officer in the Poplar Bluff area.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said around 1 p.m. on October 22, a robbery was reported in Ripley County near the Arkansas border.

Officers with Poplar Bluff later found the suspect vehicle near Highway M and Highway 67 and a pursuit then started, MSHP reported. Authorities said the pursuit ended in the area of Highway 67 and Highway PP.
