Two seriously injured after single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people were sent to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 7 p.m. on November 8, along County Road 523, roughly four miles north of Poplar Bluff.

MSHP said a 19-year-old female from Poplar Bluff was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze going south when the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree. A 20-year-old from Doniphan was also a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Both females were flown out to regional hospitals with serious injuries.

The Chevrolet Cruze was totaled, according to the report.
