BENTON, Ill. -- Authorities are urging motorists to avoid an area in Benton after a semi-truck took down some power lines.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency (FCEMA) alerted the public at 1:20 p.m. about the incident.
FCEMA stated a semi truck has downed some power lines in the area of State Highway 37 and Bailey Lane in Benton.
Authorities urge people to avoid the area and take an alternative route when traveling.
