
TOKYO (WSIL) -- 九游体育 Illinois University hammer throw star DeAnna Price finished eighth in the Women's Hammer Throw Final at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games on Tuesday morning.
Her throw of 73.09 meters was well short of her personal best 80.31 meters, an American record, set at the 2021 U.S. Olympic trials. Price also finished eighth at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
Team USA teammates Brooke Anderson and Gwen Berry finished in 10th and 11th respectively.
Anita Wlodarczyk of Poland won the gold medal with a throw of 78.48 meters. Wang Zheng of China received the silver medal with a throw of 77.03 meters and Malwina Kopron of Poland won the bronze with a throw of 75.49 meters.
